I reserved 4 rooms for two nights for each room by name your price. And the reservation was made at Double Trees in Norfolk VA. The rooms were for my families who came into town for my wife's funeral. First night there was no problem. Second night two rooms out of four rooms reservation were no longer there. 82 years old my father and my mom along with my sister and her husband could not get into the room. Double tree said no reservation for these rooms.
I called price line representative. The time was almost midnight. I had to drive from my home to hotel at Midnight, my parents, sister and her husband sitting on the lobby, I talked to the counter and priceline simultaneously. I had to check in at the desk as if I was checking in brand new reservation. Double tree counter told me if I did not pay again, my families (two rooms of 4 rooms occupants) cannot check have the rooms. SO I paid for two rooms with credit card (Double tree told me the charge is pending only) and Price line told me that the accounting department would handle on next day, and price line representative would call me on next day. Finally my families got into the bed. I left to my home, it was around 1am.
I did not hear anything from priceline on next day, so I thought eveyrthing was going OK.
I received an email a few days later and priceline is giving me money back on one night for two room and they cannot do anything else.
I called price line, and they keep saying they cannot do anything else.
I asked price line that if anyone reserve the rooms all day long, but you cannot be sure if you had a room until you check in at the hotel rooms, she would not answer. Then when I asked more question, she hung up the phone on me
